Process for developing NDC 

This NDC was developed by the National Climate Task Force. The National Climate Advisor and the White House Office of Domestic Climate Policy led the inter-agency process across the federal government and consulted various stakeholders, including groups representing youth, the unions, scientists, governmental leaders, businesses, schools, institutions of higher education, and specialized researchers. The results of these consultations, when combined with modeling and subjected to further discussion resulted in the NDC, which was approved by the President.

Description of Monitoring and/or Implementation Mechanism 

The achievement of the NDC will be assessed by comparing the net GHG emissions for 2030 with the net GHG emissions for 2005.
