Having reviewed the advocacy policy frameworks on gender, climate change and food security as contained in documents ICCD/CRIC(10)/18 to ICCD/CRIC(10)21,

9. Notes the consultative approaches followed in developing advocacy policy frameworks on gender, climate change and food security in the context of desertification/land degradation and drought;
10. Invites the Executive Secretary, drawing on the guidance contained in the advocacy policy frameworks on gender, climate change and food security, to undertake advocacy with parties in order to increase ecosystem resilience in the drylands and to improve the livelihood conditions of affected populations, noting that framework development is an iterative process;
11. Requests the Executive Secretary: (a) To continue formulating an additional advocacy policy framework on the thematic issue of drought (including water scarcity), in consultation with national focal points, taking gender-sensitive approaches into account;
