Processus pour developer la CDN 

Cette CDN a été rédigée par le Groupe de travail national sur le climat (National Climate Task Force). Le Conseiller national sur le climat et le Bureau de la Maison-Blanche sur la politique climatique nationale ont dirigé le processus interagences à l’échelle du gouvernement fédéral, et consulté de nombreuses parties prenantes – notamment des groupes représentant la jeunesse, les syndicats, les scientifiques, des leaders du gouvernement, des entreprises, des écoles, des institutions de l’enseignement supérieur et des chercheurs et chercheuses spécialisé·e·s. Ces consultations ont abouti à des résultats, qui ont donné lieu à la CDN après modélisation et discussions complémentaires. La CDN a été approuvée par le président.

Description du suivi et/ou le mechanisme de la mise en œuvre 

La réalisation de la CDN sera évaluée en comparant les émissions nettes de gaz à effet de serre en 2030 avec celles de 2005.
