Pays en développement au revenu intermédiaire de la tranche inférieure, avec une population grandissante extrêmement vulnérable au changement climatique. Cette CDN est la première communiquée au registre des CDN.

Processus pour developer la CDN

Cette CDN a été élaborée avec une approche « gouvernement-et-société-en-entier ». Cette CDN souhaite défendre une participation significative des femmes, des enfants, des jeunes, des personnes aux diverses orientations sexuelles et identités de genre, les personnes en situation de handicap, les populations autochtones, les personnes âgées, la société civile, les organisations confessionnelles et le secteur privé.

Description du suivi et/ou le mechanisme de la mise en œuvre

La CDN repose sur des cadres juridiques mentionnés, tels que la loi de 2009 sur le changement climatique, la Stratégie du cadre national sur le changement climatique 2010–2022 et le Plan national d’action climatique 2011–2028. La CDN annonce également prendre en compte le Plan de développement des Philippines 2017–2022, le Plan énergie des Philippines 2018–2040, le Cadre national de gestion des risques climatiques de 2019 et le Cadre de politique financière durable de 2020.

Résumé de la référence à la dimension de genre

Le genre figure à une reprise dans la CDN des Philippines. Il est déclaré que cette CDN est un moyen de communiquer des occasions de transformer le monde à l’aide « d’options de développement durable sensibles au genre, par le biais de l’engagement des Parties à soutenir et compléter leurs entreprises mutuelles, conformément à l’accord de partenariat conclu dans le cadre de la CCNUCC ».
