Processus pour developer la CDN

Cette mise à jour a fait l'objet d'un large processus participatif avec un engagement complet des parties prenantes. Plus précisément, la préparation de la CDN a impliqué "d'immenses engagements de la part des ministères de tutelle respectifs et des parties prenantes. Les ministères de tutelle ont été impliqués dans le processus de développement par le biais d'un groupe de travail technique ".

Description du suivi et/ou le mechanisme de la mise en œuvre

L'Éthiopie dispose d'un système de mesure, de notification et de vérification (MRV) et de suivi et d'évaluation (M et E), qui a été récemment révisé en même temps que sa politique d'adaptation actuelle.

Les considérations de genre ont été prises en compte dans cette CDN afin d'améliorer l'inclusivité de ses interventions d'adaptation. Elle prévoit spécifiquement l'adoption d'une approche sensible au genre dans les différents programmes d'adaptation. En outre, le plan national d'adaptation du pays indique également que "des analyses détaillées des lacunes en matière de genre et de capacités institutionnelles ont été réalisées pour informer le processus de mise à jour de la CDN".

Processus pour developer la CDN

Les CDN de l’Éthiopie ont été élaborées selon un processus inclusif et participatif.

Description du suivi et/ou le mechanisme de la mise en œuvre

Les CDN seront régulièrement mises à jour, le cas échéant. Le ministère de l’Environnement et des Forêts entend organiser des discussions et des échanges réguliers pour faire le point sur la mise en œuvre des plans d’adaptation nationaux et sectoriels. Ce processus itératif permettra de veiller à ce que les plans d’adaptation nationaux et sectoriels soient régulièrement actualisés et mis en œuvre de manière efficace.

Volet d’adaptation : Entre autres, l’Éthiopie s’est fixée comme objectif à long terme d’intégrer les mesures visant à améliorer le statut des femmes et le bien-être des enfants dans son programme national de lutte contre le changement climatique.
