Oman’s second NDC was developed through a “comprehensive impact evaluation, and analysis of the future vision and strategies 2040,” as well as feedback from stakeholders that was drawn from public consultations.

Description of Monitoring and/or Implementation Mechanism

Oman’s second NDC emphasizes the importance of international climate finance to curb its emissions growth, and meet its NDC targets. On a monitoring mechanism, the NDC states that Oman will utilize the appropriate methods and assumptions to report its progress in implementing this NDC in its Biennial Transparency Report.
