For implementation, the country’s existing institutional framework is used. Monitoring and evaluation is based on a Monitoring Mechanism Regulation (MMR), also using the existing institutional framework.

Regarding adaptation, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s 2013 Climate Change Adaptation and Low-Emission Development Strategy has been utilized to increase the country’s resilience to climate variability, while preventing environmental degradation and reducing GHG emissions. Also cited is the country’s new Climate Change Adaptation and Low-Emission Development Strategy, currently in the completion stage. Additionally, monitoring the implementation of climate change adaptation measures is said to be “combined with the process of regular updating of priorities and sectoral adaptation plans and programmes...A framework for monitoring and evaluating adaptation activities will also developed, with indicators and guidelines for reporting.”
